Autogas Nigeria Services Limited is set to host the 2025 Autogas Nigeria Annual CNG Conference on November 26 and 27 in Abuja, with a focus on promoting cleaner, cheaper, and inclusive energy for Nigerians.
Speaking at a press briefing held on Monday in Abuja, Managing Director of Autogas Nigeria, Hajiya Maryam S Ibrahim, said the conference theme, “CNG for All,” captures the goal of expanding access to Compressed Natural Gas across all income levels.
She commended the Federal Government for reforms driving gas adoption, noting the support of the Presidential CNG Initiative, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, and NNPC Limited.
The two day conference will feature high level discussions on cost, accessibility, infrastructure, and nationwide expansion of CNG. Technical sessions will focus on practical solutions such as Mobile Refueling Units and last-mile models to improve public access.
Day Two will spotlight women’s empowerment in the CNG sector, policy reforms, incentives, and clean mobility, and will wrap up with a national debate on “EV vs CNG.”
COO of Autogas Nigeria, Mr. Kennedy Osagie, said the conference aims to strengthen investment, local manufacturing, skills development, and job creation.
A representative of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Adam Peter Ojobo, announced plans for an autogas training centre to build manpower for Nigeria’s CNG industry.
Chairman of the Autogas Technology, Research and Advisory Board, Professor Robinson Ejilah, said a national perception survey will be conducted to assess the real impact of CNG policies.
The event will take place at the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, bringing together policymakers, investors, industry leaders and civil society to advance Nigeria’s clean energy transition.
