Amid a biting demand for globally relevant leadership skills and experiential excellence, experts in professional development have continued to spotlight the growing role of strategic event leadership in shaping influence and impact across industries.

In a paper made available to newsmen, Mentor Ifeoma Edoka, a global event strategist, was announced as the lead facilitator of an international mentoring session organised by the Career and Business Excellence System (CBES), a global professional development platform dedicated to grooming high-impact leaders and professionals.
The virtual mentoring session, which held on November 28, attracted participants from several countries and was themed “Designing Impactful Experiences: The Art and Strategy of Global Event Leadership.” The event brought together professionals seeking deeper insight into leadership, innovation and experiential strategy in a rapidly evolving global environment.
Widely referred to within the CBES community as Mentor Ifeoma Edoka, she was invited in recognition of her expertise and leadership within the global events and experiential strategy space. Her selection underscored her growing influence and credibility among professionals navigating cross-border leadership challenges.
Addressing a diverse international audience, Edoka emphasised the strategic role of events as tools for leadership influence, brand positioning, community building and professional growth. She noted that effective event leadership extends far beyond logistics into areas of intentional experience design and strategic thinking.
During the session, she shared insights on how impactful event leadership requires cultural intelligence, purposeful planning and strategic execution, particularly in a global context. She stressed the importance of aligning events with purpose, audience psychology and measurable impact to achieve lasting results.
The mentoring engagement covered key topics including purpose-driven and impact-focused event design, leading multicultural and cross-border event teams, experiential storytelling as a leadership tool, and translating creative vision into globally relevant experiences.
Participants also engaged in interactive discussions and practical case studies drawn from Edoka’s international professional experience, reinforcing the session’s mentorship-driven and capacity-building focus. Many attendees described the engagement as practical, reflective and deeply insightful.
CBES noted that the mentoring initiative forms part of its broader mission to equip professionals with the skills, mindset and leadership capacity required to excel in business and leadership on a global scale.
