B.O.Y Music to deploy AI for music streaming platform

In a move that could reshape how Nigerian music is accessed and consumed, B.O.Y Music, the record label behind Banku Music sensation Ofego, has announced plans to deploy artificial intelligence to create a dedicated online and offline streaming platform for the artiste’s catalogue.

The initiative follows the massive success of Ofego’s 2025 project, D Girls Dem Daddy, which has continued to enjoy widespread acclaim and recently earned a nomination for Album of the Year alongside multiple nods at the Notable Africa Music Awards.

According to findings, the concept was tabled and approved by the label’s board of directors as part of efforts to meet growing global demand for Ofego’s music. With fans often struggling to access his songs across major platforms due to existing partnerships and licensing restrictions, the label is now turning to technology to bridge the gap and improve accessibility.

A spokesperson for B.O.Y Music, who requested anonymity, described the project as groundbreaking, noting that the future of music consumption is shifting rapidly. “This project is one of a kind and I’m excited to be part of it. Music consumption and profit maximization for record labels will soon enter a new phase, and B.O.Y Music is leaving no stone unturned,” he said.

He further hinted that Ofego’s catalogue, which has become increasingly scarce on many international streaming platforms, is taking on new value. “Ofego’s songs are entering a phase like gold,” he added, stressing that the label is fully committed to ensuring that the new platform delivers a seamless experience for fans while maximizing the artiste’s reach and commercial potential.

The AI-driven platform, when launched, is expected to revolutionize how listeners engage with Ofego’s music, providing both online streaming and paid offline access for fans around the world.
