African Food Summit & Expo 2025 to shape future of food, culture in Africa

The African Food Network has announced the upcoming African Food Summit & Expo 2025, a major gathering that will explore how food, culture, and innovation can drive economic growth across Africa.

The event, proudly headlined and sponsored by Kuda Microfinance Bank, will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.

The Summit will serve as the opening day of the African Food & Drinks Festival 2025, Africa’s largest food celebration. It will bring together policymakers, business leaders, creators, and cultural advocates to discuss how Africa’s food ecosystem can create new opportunities for tourism, trade, and entrepreneurship.

According to Kevin Eze, Founder and CEO of the African Food Network, the Summit represents an important milestone for the continent’s growing food movement.

“This Summit is more than a conversation about food,” said Eze. “It is a meeting of minds focused on how our shared culinary culture can strengthen unity, boost creativity, and build sustainable livelihoods for millions of Africans.”

The 2025 edition will feature respected speakers and thought leaders, including:

• Mr. Obi Asika, Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Nigeria

Brian Nwana, Food, Travel and Lifestyle Creator, Guinness World Record Holder

Jenifer Ibrahim, Cool FM On-Air Personality and Media Influencer

With an expected attendance of more than 400 delegates, the Summit will combine keynote presentations, exhibitions, and panel discussions. Attendees will explore opportunities for collaboration and investment across Africa’s food, tourism, and creative sectors.

Kuda Microfinance Bank’s sponsorship reinforces the brand’s commitment to supporting creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Africa.

“We are proud to partner with the African Food Network to spotlight the economic potential of Africa’s food industry,” said a Kuda representative. “Our support reflects our belief in empowering Africans to turn creativity and culture into opportunity.”

The Summit will set the tone for the three-day African Food & Drinks Festival 2025, which continues through Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Harrow Park, Abuja.

The festival will feature over 100 food and drink vendors, cultural performances, live music, and the signature Unity Dish Experience that celebrates Africa’s diversity through cuisine.

Since its launch, the African Food & Drinks Festival has grown into one of Africa’s most recognized cultural events, attracting more than 25,000 attendees across Nigeria and Ghana.

The African Food & Drinks Festival 2025 is supported by Kuda Microfinance Bank (headline sponsor), alongside Sensation & Elixir Plus, Malta Guinness, Imperial Blue, and other distinguished partners.
