Bizman disclaims social media accounts, trending video

The Group Managing Director of G.U Ebeco Industries Ltd, High Chief Ebere Goodwill Uzozie (Onwa Umuobom), has disclaimed a fake Facebook account and a trending video circulating online which were falsely attributed to him.

Chief Uzozie raised the alarm after being alerted by friends and associates about the fraudulent Facebook account – created with his name and photos – allegedly posting malicious content intended to tarnish his reputation and sow discord.

In a statement shared with the media, the respected business mogul strongly condemned the fake account and clarified that he had no connection whatsoever with the content being circulated.

“It has come to my attention that a fake Facebook account has been created using my name and pictures to impersonate me. The account ‘GU Ebeco’ is NOT operated by me,” Uzozie said. “I am not associated with any messages, friend requests, or posts from this fake account. Please do not engage, share personal information, or click on any suspicious links. Any claims of offering jobs, financial support, or favours are fraudulent.”

He also described the trending video posted via the fake account as “inciteful, divisive, and malicious”, noting that it appeared designed to create friction between him and his longtime associate, Chief Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest.

Chief Uzozie called on the public to report the fake account and remain vigilant against online fraudsters exploiting reputable names for personal gain.

Widely respected for his industrial achievements, Chief Ebere Uzozie and G.U Ebeco Industries Limited has been praised for its innovation and excellence. During a recent visit, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu described him as “Africa’s Julius Berger,” commending his company’s state-of-the-art facilities and contribution to Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
