As the Osun State University holds its 15th convocation ceremony, 49 of its students would be awarded first-class degree out of the 2,505 bachelor’s degree graduates.

Speaking with newsmen at the University campus in Osogbo on Wednesday, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement Adebooye, said the school would be presenting several certificates to its graduates, including bachelors degrees, PGD, Masters degrees and PhDs.

He also disclosed that the University would also commission various projects, sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Tetfun, including the new University Senate Building.

According to him, the numbers of students graduating for both the bachelor’s degree and post graduate is 2,851

“This includes, 2,505 First Degrees graduates, one Postgraduate Diploma graduate, 283 Master Degrees graduates and 62 Doctoral Degrees graduates”.

He added that the University would also be commissioning various projects across its campuses, which includes, the Iconic Senate Building, funded with TETFund’s High Impact Intervention.

“Other projects to be Commissioned are the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology Building with furniture, funded with TETFund’s Special Intervention. A Twin (500-500) Lecture Theatre Complex, funded with TETFund’s Special Intervention. A 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre, funded through TETFund’s Normal Intervention and an Entrepreneurship Equipment funded with Annual Intervention”, he added.
