The House of Representatives, on Wednesday, June 26, 2025, mourned the passing of Elder Chris Osa Emovon, a staff of the National Assembly Commission.

The solemn moment followed the official announcement of his death by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, during plenary.

In honour of the deceased, lawmakers rose to observe a one-minute silence and offered prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.

Until his death on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Elder Emovon served as a Legislative Aide to Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, who represents Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber.
