In a move to redefine real estate investment in Nigeria, GloVal Properties Nigeria Ltd. has unveiled Soteria Palms Estate, a pioneering project in Epe, Lagos, that fuses land ownership with agricultural value creation.
The estate offers Nigerians the opportunity to earn passive income through the cultivation of oil palm trees on their allocated plots, combining immediate agricultural returns with long-term land appreciation.
Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of GloVal Properties, Gloria Ijeomah, described the initiative as a strategic response to both economic and agricultural gaps in the country.
She said: “Soteria Palms is designed to enable investors to earn passive income through palm tree cultivation on their plots, while also benefiting from the rising value of the land.
“Unlike speculative land investments, this model puts your land to work from day one.”
Ijeomah noted that palm trees have already been planted across various plots, and are projected to reach full maturity within three years.
“This makes the investment both viable and impactful, providing a dual pathway to wealth generation and food security,” she added.
She further emphasized the national importance of the project: “With Nigeria spending over $500 million annually on palm oil imports, Soteria Palms supports the country’s drive to boost local production, reduce import dependency, and promote agricultural self-sufficiency.”
Beyond financial benefits, the estate is poised to drive socioeconomic development by creating jobs in farming, logistics, processing, and distribution, particularly for youth and women in surrounding communities.
The launch event attracted stakeholders from the real estate and agriculture sectors, community leaders, and prospective investors, who commended the project for its innovative and sustainable model.
GloVal Properties announced that plots in the estate are now available for investors seeking a forward-thinking approach to land ownership, one that delivers both returns and relevance in today’s economic landscape.
