Prominent Anioma/Ika indigenes of Delta state, Nigeria, resident in the United States of America (USA) recently celebrated Dr Anne Ighade, a native of Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta state.

Ighade bagged a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the Prestigious University of North Carolina, Charlotte, United States of America..

Grand Knight Emeritus, Sir Tonna Okei, Ikuku Oma who is also the Asoju Oba of Oyotunji presented a wine to the traditional father of the day Chief Obi Melekwe to offer prayers for the celebrant.

Those who spoke said the event was not just entirely for the graduation ceremony but a golden opportunity for Ika people in particular and Anioma nation in general to celebrate a quintessential personality,” Dr Anne Ighade, her exemplary life style, her brilliance, a virtuous woman and an embodiment of humility.”

Sir Tonna Okei, said the attendees at the event showed that the celebrant was cherished by all . ” ’As friendly, loving and welcoming people, Agbor people are here to celebrate their wife. Dr Anne is a good lady and a good wife. That is why the Ika people flew in from all parts of the United States, in their numbers, irrespective of the distance and personal schedules to celebrate with her as a stamp of love and authority. They showered praises on her as a good, loving, submissive wife to our son’’,he said.

Continuing, Tonna, who is an Ambassador of Ika Culture and President of Organization of Africa Unity, South Carolina, said : ” For the fact that very high profiled dignitaries such as; Chief (Dr) Obi-Melekwe and his beautiful wife, Dr. Bernard Orewa and Mrs Franca Orewa, Pharmacist Sunny Obuseh and his wife, Mrs Doris Okonkwo and Barrister Anthony Onwordi (ably represented by his wife) Mrs Cecilia Onwordi are here tells the stuff Dr Anne Ighade is made of.

” The presence of notable Deltans such as Dr Phyl Ogwude Ogoh, Pastor and pastor Mrs Chucks Owuzo, Dr Emmanuel and Mrs Nkonyeasua Mordi, Mrs Rachael Ajebon, Mrs Josephine Sesay, Prof Loretta Evivie, and Dr Uvoh Onoriobe and his wife Chimenim Onoriobe, among others, stand as a telling example of the fact that Dr Ighade is loved and respected by all.”

Mr Joe Osazuwa and Dr Joel Onofowokan also commended the celebrant .

The celebrant is married to Dr Andrew Ighade, a famous pediatrician based in the U.S and native of Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, in Delta state.
