A Member of the House of Representatives representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Ondo state, Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso, has distributed empowerment to members of his constituents in lfedore council area.

Various items and cash stipends were handed over to beneficiaries, courtesy of the lawmaker.

According to him media man, Kelvin Babalola, the latest gesture was in continuation of his empowerment  program for benefiting residents of Ifedore Local Government Area.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. Akingbaso acknowledged the efforts and cooperation of the beneficiaries,

 and expressing gratitude for their support.

Akingbaso assured them that despite his recent defection to the APC, they would not be left out of future empowerment programs, promising a better package.

Items distributed include motorbikes, deep freezers, sewing machine, grinders and generating sets.

Also, speaking during the ceremony, a former Party Chairman and PDP stalwart, Barr. Lawrence Fagbolagun, commended Akingbaso’s political dexterity and wisdom and appreciating him for the empowerment program.

Fagbolagun debunked allegations that the items were used to lure beneficiaries to the APC, stating that adults cannot be forced to decamp.

Forty individuals across the local government area received items distributed, while 60 youths were given N25,000 each for logistics.

Recall that a similar program was held in Idanre Local Government Area, last week where items were given to respective wards for distribution to deserving beneficiaries

Notable leaders in attendance include the PDP Ifedore Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sunday Fasore, Hon. Kola Famolade and Hon. Walter, among others personalities in the council area.
