In a bid to deepen digital literacy and prepare Lagos residents for the evolving demands of the global economy, SO TechAfrica Ltd., a leading Information Technology and Human Resources firm, has launched a five-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programme set to hold from July 7 to July 11, 2025.

The initiative, tagged “Festac AI Week 2025,” will offer practical, hands-on training in AI applications across critical sectors including healthcare, education, finance, logistics, agriculture, and business. The programme is designed to align with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by equipping participants with future-ready skills.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Seton Senu, said the training is a deliberate effort to empower Lagos residents, particularly those in Festac Town and surrounding communities, with cutting-edge knowledge that can drive innovation and local enterprise.

“The programme will contribute to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by providing practical knowledge on how AI can enhance the smooth running of businesses and institutions,” Senu said.

The event will feature over 15 expert facilitators drawn from top ICT companies who will guide participants through interactive sessions, live demos, and collaborative AI challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to compete for prizes, with awards in bronze, silver, and gold categories for the most innovative AI project ideas.

To encourage early participation, SO TechAfrica is offering a 50% discount for those who register early via the official website.
