The Ijaw Youth Council ,IYC, Worldwide has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, Dabaye Amakiri, Amayanabo of the source, Torusama Piri, Elem-Kalabari, Rivers State on his birth anniversary.

In a statement signed by the IYC President Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr.and Spokesman , Amb Binebai Princewill said the IYC is excited to celebrate a renowned leader in Ijaw nation, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large and is proud his sterling leadership qualities in the region adding that his birthday anniversary marks a significant milestone in the history of Ijaw nation.

They said: “Today, you are not just a founding father of our highly revered Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) but till date you are also one of the best President the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has produced, your legacies and achievements while in office as President of Council still speaks volume about your sound and progressive leadership qualities.

“Your quest for the liberation of Ijaw nation, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large have seen you entangled in several ordeals in life that you wouldn’t have faced on a personal ground but you have sacrificed a lot in ensuring that the Ijaws and Niger Deltans are treated fairly in the Nigerian State. History will forever be kind to you as a man that have contributed in no smaller measure in bringing Ijaw and Niger Delta the level it is today.

“However, the IYC is extremely excited as our pyramid is celebrating this year’s birthday as a Royal Father in Ijaw, Rivers State, Niger Delta and Nigeria, this makes this year’s birthday a special birthday.

“Nevertheless, your contribution to peace-building in Niger Delta, protecting democratic institutions in Nigeria, an advocate of good governance and a supersonic voice for minority rights movement in Nigeria will always stand you out as a rare leader in our region.

“Meanwhile, it is our call as a Council that the Ijaw nation is yet again passing through hard times in Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa, Ondo and Edo states, this is the time all leaders in Ijaw nation and our structures must unite for the collective progress of Ijaw nation.

“We are also using this medium to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue to work with Ijaw leaders in sustaining peace and productivity in the Niger Delta region.

“It is our prayer that the Lord Almighty shall continue to grant you long life, prosper you beyond human imagination, sound health and many fruitful years ahead. Once again congratulations on your birth anniversary, Ijaw nation is very proud of you.”
