…Prays for divine guidance 

The Paramount king of Ndigbo in Ghana, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, has congratulated  the king of Eleme Kingdom  in Rivers State, His Royal Majesty King Appolus Chu,the Oneh Eh Nchia x over his reaffirmation  by The Court of Appeal as King of Eleme  Kingdom. 

In a landmark judgement, the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State reaffirmed King Appolus Chu as the Oneh Eh Nchia X of Eleme Kingdom, dismissing the appeal filed by Chief Bebe Okpabi with Appeal No. CA/PH/370/2023. Judge A. M. Talba delivered the ruling on June 13, 2025, upholding King Chu’s position as the paramount ruler.

This ruling validates the earlier judgment by the Rivers State High Court in 2023, which affirmed King Chu’s election as the paramount ruler of the Nchia community, in line with local customs and traditions.

While  rejoicing with peace loving people of Nchia in Eleme  kingdom  over the judgement. HRM Ihenetu  said it will help  King Appolus focus on delivering good rulership  to the good people  of Eleme kingdom. 

“My dear  king, Appolus, I’m happy  that at last you have won at the Appeal  Court.  I pray that God Almighty would  keep giving  you wisdom  of King  Solomon to be able  to rule wisely to the glory  of God. 

“Through  your goodwill,  you have  been able  to attract  development  to your community  where you have touched  the lives of the needy positively. 

As an industrialist,  you provide  employment  for  many in your Kingdom, and as a farmer, you equally provided  jobs and succour  for the less privileged.  May your days be long on the throne ,” HRM Ihenetu  prayed.
