Rising Nigerian artist, Apelete Victor known professionally as Apelete, has officially released his debut extended play (EP), “Jiggy’s Heart.” The five-track record highlights the rapper, singer and fusionist’s compelling storytelling and distinctive African Hip-Hop sound.

“Jiggy’s Heart” opens with “Young G,” where Apelete reflects on maintaining sanity and pursuing prosperity amidst life’s challenges. He continues his street-focused narrative with “Jiggy Bop,” an energetic track about “gangster love and motivation” that serves as a mood-lifting hustler anthem.

The EP then shifts with “Superstar Life,” where Apelete explores hedonism over breezy piano chords. Collaborating with DTO on “Bad,” he showcases his singing/rapping abilities, praising a lover’s vibrant energy. The EP concludes with “Jiggy Boys 4L,” a soft track featuring heartfelt guitar riffs, where Apelete expresses unwavering affection.

According to Apelete, the EP solidifies his identity as a “Jiggy Boy,” embodying a multifaceted perspective rooted in the power of love—whether for oneself, family, or a special person. He encourages listeners to prioritize love in all aspects of their lives.

“The creation of this project started off with the motive to express and showcase myself, my life perspective and how I feel as a person.” he asserted.

Apelete characterized his sound as “raw, energetic, and original,” emphasizing the importance of artistic authenticity and creating music based on relatable experiences. He further stated that his vision is to produce more authentic and relatable music.
