A former Commissioner for Science and Technology in Delta state, Engr Matthew Tsekiri has applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his remarkable milestones of two years in office.
Tsekiri says that over the past 24 months , Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated unwavering commitment to visionary leadership and a deep sense of duty to the people of Delta state. Continuing , he said that Oborevwori ‘s administrative strides in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, healthcare and peace building are commendable and reflective of the M.O.R.E agenda of the administration.
Tsekiri averred that the administration of Oborevwori has changed the landscape of his homeland of Uvwie where the Governor is embarking on the construction of bridges and slipways, using the construction giant , Julius Berger.
The former commissioner says he is proud of his governor for his- all- inclusive government and his commitment to completing the 147kilometer Ughelli -Asaba Expressway, the Beneku bridge, the Ayakoromo bridge, the Orere bridge and the Trans- Warri Ode Itsekiri bridges and roads.
These are in addition to the massive human capital interventions which has seen Governor Oborevwori empowering 266,737 beneficiaries through several programmes like the D-CARES, Women Empowerment and Skills acquisition Programme ( WESAP) the Working fingers Initiative, MORE Grants Scheme and the MORE Biz- Up programme.
According to Tsekiri, the numerous awards received by Governor Oborevwori such as the This Day/ Arise Television best Governor of the year award , best governor on infrastructure by New Telegraph Newspaper and the best governor in Good governance by the Vanguard Newspapers are testaments to Governor Oborevwori’s superlative performance within two years in office.
Tsekiri believes that with these strides, Governor Oborevwori will be finishing strong in the next two years of his administration, while also praying God to grant the Governor robust health, energy and wisdom to pilot the affairs of state to safe shores
