Stewardship consulting unveils leadership program for Nigerian entrepreneurs

By Esther Onyegbula

In a bold move to strengthen Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, Stewardship Consulting LLC has opened registration for the inaugural edition of Ishoji Oroale Leadership Growth Camp, a two-day leadership and business development program aimed at equipping Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with strategic leadership tools to scale and thrive in today’s complex economy.

The camp, scheduled for August 15–16, 2025 in Lagos, will convene over 150 participants from across Nigeria under the theme “Leadership: Essential Skills for Organisational Growth.” The program is expected to deliver practical, high-impact learning for entrepreneurs, professionals, and aspiring business leaders who are critical to the nation’s economic advancement.

Speaking at the announcement, Mr. Ishoji Oroale, Principal Consultant at Stewardship Consulting LLC and convener of the camp, said the initiative responds to a widespread gap in leadership capacity among MSMEs and young professionals.

According to Oroale, “The camp is our response to the growing need for practical leadership and management strategies. We want participants to leave with renewed energy, clarity, and concrete strategies to scale their businesses and careers.”

Participants will benefit from hands-on sessions delivered by top executives, legal practitioners, business strategists, and leadership coaches. Training will cover core topics such as Leadership Mastery, Business Growth Strategies, Financial Management and Access to Funding, and Strategic Planning for Sustainable Structures.

Other key learning tracks include Sales and Marketing Techniques, High-Performance Team Building, and Personal and Professional Growth, all designed to prepare attendees to build resilient, impactful businesses in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving economy.

In addition to intensive learning, the camp offers a unique post-event support system, including mentorship and community networking opportunities with investors and thought leaders.

“This is not just a training; it’s a movement to build authentic, socially responsible leaders who can drive national development,” Oroale added.

To promote access and inclusivity, especially for startups and small enterprises, the program has been subsidized. Early bird registration is N55,000, while regular registration costs N75,000, with limited slots available. Organizers have also confirmed support from partners such as Elisha Development and Humanitarian Foundation, Rainbow Charismatic Centre, The Father’s Family, and Envoy Logistics.

The Leadership Growth Camp comes at a time when Nigerian MSMEs face mounting challenges, including limited access to funding, poor managerial capacity, and volatile markets. According to the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, MSMEs make up over 90% of businesses in Nigeria but contribute less than 50% to the GDP, a gap the camp hopes to help close by addressing leadership as a catalyst for growth.

Stakeholders and corporate organizations have been invited to sponsor or collaborate on the initiative as part of broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship and national transformation.
