The General Overseer of Abundant Life Gospel Church, Rev. Dr. Jane Onaolapo, has called on Christian women to remain committed to building godly homes as a means of positively influencing society.
In a press release announcing the church’s annual Women’s Convention, themed “Freedom for Next Level,” Onaolapo emphasized the vital role of mothers as home builders and urged them to live up to that responsibility. The convention is scheduled to hold from Thursday, June 5 to Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the church’s international headquarters, Peace Cathedral, a 25,000-seater auditorium located at 69 Iju Road, Agege, Lagos.
“For our country Nigeria to move forward, women—especially mothers—must be free spiritually, physically, emotionally, and in their careers. When women are no longer bound by limitations, they can reach the next level and positively impact their homes, which in turn shapes the nation,” she said.
Rev. Onaolapo, who is also the first female Vice Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos chapter, explained that the convention’s theme aligns with God’s word for the church in 2025—a year of advancement beyond its 40th anniversary.
“The Lord told me 2025 is our year of ‘Next Level.’ But no one can move forward if they are spiritually or emotionally restricted. This is why the theme is ‘Freedom for Next Level’—because only in freedom can you fulfill destiny.”
She noted that this year’s convention marks the 33rd edition since its inception in 1992, and while organized by women, it is open to everyone—men, youths, teenagers, and children alike.
The event will feature sessions such as Word & Wonders, Prevailing Prayers, Ladies’ Lounge, and Mountain Top. Guest ministers expected at the convention include Rev. Dr. Mercy Ezekiel, Bishop Peace Okonkwo, and other anointed speakers.
