Members of collation of Ndokwa Projects has urged Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), administrator Dr. Dennis Otuaro to fully implement Ndokwa Nation into the Presidential Amnesty Programme .
The Collation while making their request known during a visit to the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), administrator Dr. Dennis Otuaro in abuja commended Otuaro for the work he has done in championing peace, stability and development across the Niger Delta since his appointment.
The collation expressed concerns that the Ndokwa Nation feels marginalized in the distribution of developmental benefits and opportunities.
“Despite being a resource-producing area, Ndokwa people remain largely unemployed, and many are unable to pursue higher education or learn sustainable trades.”
The coalition, comprising various Ndokwa organizations, including the Ndokwa Youth Leaders Assembly, Ndokwa Leaders for Good Governance, Ndokwa Liberation Front, Ikolobia Ndokwa, Ndokwa Neku Youth Body, Ndokwa Youth Voice, and Ndokwa National Youth Movement, requested that Dr. Otuaro consider the Ndokwa nation in educational sponsorship programs, both local and international, to support bright minds, Provision of vocational training in areas like welding, ICT, fashion, and agriculture to equip Ndokwa people with skills for productivity, Consideration for positions within the Amnesty Office and its partner agencies to promote inclusion and trust.
The coalition members, including Hon. Comr. Enebeli Ernest, President of Ndokwa Youth Leaders Assembly; Hon. Chidi Jerry Oji, Vice President of NYLA; Comr. Uduogwu James, Ndokwa Neku Youth Leader; Comr. Azaka Fidelis, PG Ikolobia Ndokwa; Comr. Anslem Nzete, Immediate Past PG Ikolobia Ndokwa; High Chief Denico Okoh, Ndokwa Liberation Front; Chief Sunny Omordi, Ndokwa Youth Voice; and Comr. Benjamin Onwgbolu, PG Ndokwa National Youth Movement, unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Dr. Otuaro’s leadership.
The coalition also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and commended the Delta State Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Engr. Michael Ifeanyi Anoka. They extended an invitation to Dr. Otuaro to visit Ndokwa land to demonstrate their unwavering support.
Dr. Otuaro, while applauding the coalition for their commendations and requests, assured them that the Ndokwa Nation will always be included in the Presidential Amnesty Programme to further promote peace, stability, and development in the region.
The visit demonstrates the coalition’s commitment to advocating for the rights and interests of the Ndokwa Nation.
By engaging with Dr. Otuaro and the PAP, the coalition hopes to secure a better future for the community and contribute to the region’s development.
