The air at the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre, Lagos recently buzzed with excitement, as Chrisland Schools Limited hosted its highly anticipated choral evening, tagged “Parade of Stars.” The event was a vibrant tapestry of cultural harmony showcasing the multifaceted talents of pupils from various Chrisland primary schools.
The atmosphere was electric, as young virtuosos took to the stage, demonstrating impressive skills on a range of musical instruments and seamlessly transitioning into energetic and synchronized dance performances, that had the audience cheering with delight.
The highlight of the evening, was the vocal brilliance on display, as pupils sang melodiously in a rich array of languages, including Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Brazilian, French, Italian, Ghanaian, and South African songs. Familiar melodies like “I am A Child,” “Eye Adaba,” “He Raised Me Up,” and “Teta Oye” resonated through the hall.
Adding a dramatic flair to the musical feast, a compelling playlet titled “Olanrewaju” captivated the audience and the fashion parade segment added an extra touch of glamour into the already beautiful evening.
In her welcome address, the Director of Schools, Chrisland Limited, Dr. Ayoola Akinyeye, paid a heartfelt tribute to the founder, Chief Dr. Winifred Adefolahan Awosika OON, acknowledging her profound vision and unwavering commitment, which have been instrumental in the school’s enduring success.
The event was graced by an array of distinguished guests, including the revered founder herself, Chief Dr. W.A. Awosika, alongside the Managing Director of the school, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, Chief Mrs. Shonekan, Chief Mrs. Moroun Diya, Chief Olu Falomo, Dr. Reuben Abati and wife, Kikelomo, Chief Mrs Keziah Awosika and many other notable individuals.
