ICAN Lekki, District Society commissions administrative office

The Lekki and District Society, LEDS, of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN has commissioned its administrative office located at the HFP Shopping Complex, Abraham Adesanya, Lekki-Epe expressway.

The office was officially opened by ICAN President, Davidson Alaribe, a key achievement of the district’s 3rd Chairman, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Olaniyi, at her investiture ceremony and the 2nd year anniversary of the district in June 2024.

The office was one of the agenda items outlined in her manifesto, and its completion marks a significant milestone for the district.

Alaribe described the achievement as a giant stride by the district considering its years of existence even as it commended the district, urging other districts to emulate its success.

He said that the administrative office is a “stepping stone to other bigger projects.

He encouraged the district to put keep up the good work while enjoining the members to cooperate with its executives in achieving more success.

Alaribe said: “The success we have seen in LEDS is as a result of the determination and leadership of Olaniyi and her team. This is a woman who has done it all”.

Also, incoming ICAN President, Mallam Haruna Nma Yahaya, praised the district’s efforts, encouraging them to strive for even greater accomplishments.

The Council coordinator of LEDS, Elder Gbenga Omidiji, also graced the occasion appreciated the district for staying true to the vision and also striving to achieve this.

The commissioning of the administrative office marks a new era for ICAN Lekki and District Society. The office will serve as a hub for the district’s activities, enhancing its ability to serve its members and the community.

Olaniyi expressed her gratitude for the successful acquisition of the administrative office. “I’m overwhelmed with joy,” she said. “It’s one thing to make a promise, but it’s truly a blessing to have God guide us in fulfilling it.”

Mrs. Olaniyi also took the opportunity to commend her executive team and district members for their tireless efforts and contributions, which enabled the purchase of the property within the set timeframe – a remarkable achievement made possible without resorting to loans.
