HOSTCOM Chairman, Pender hails Oborevwori’s two years of transformative governance in Delta

Governor Oborevwori of Delta State

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has received praises from the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) and the PIA OML30 Uherevie Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT) as he marks his second year in office, with both bodies applauding what they described as his “impactful and transformative leadership” across Delta State.

In a press statement signed by Comrade Agwarive O. Pender JP, the chairman of host communities of Nigeria producing oil and gas(Hostcom) and BOT chairman, PIA OML30 Uherevie Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT), said the governor’s administration has delivered notable progress in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and community engagement.

The organizations commended Oborevwori’s deep commitment to inclusive governance, saying it has strengthened ties between the state and its vital oil and gas host communities.

Central to their commendation was the Governor’s support for the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which the community noted has empowered host communities and accelerated local development through collaborative structures like the HCDT. They also highlighted improvements in security, education, healthcare, and road construction under his watch, describing his policies as people-centred and visionary.

Reaffirming their loyalty and support, the host communities pledged continued partnership with Governor Oborevwori’s administration. “We remain committed partners in development and look forward to deeper collaboration in the years ahead,” said Comrade Pender, expressing optimism that the governor’s “MORE Agenda” will continue to drive meaningful progress across Delta State.
