A coalition of civil society groups led by the Empowerment for Unemployed Youth Initiative (EUYI) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr. Cyril Tsenyil as the Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

Dr. Tsenyil, the former Accountant General of Plateau State, was praised for his significant contributions to revenue generation and management in the state. His efforts, including digitization and systemic overhaul, reportedly saved over 40% in revenue generation costs.

Speaking in Abuja, Prince Danesi Momoh and Comrade Igwe Ude-umanta, leaders of the coalition, described the appointment as fitting, emphasizing Dr. Tsenyil’s extensive experience in accounting, auditing, policy formulation, project management, and regulatory compliance. They believe his leadership will drive development and innovation at the NCDC.

The coalition dismissed criticism from a Youth Forum, calling their allegations of political influence and incompetence unfounded. They reiterated their confidence in Dr. Tsenyil’s capabilities and thanked President Tinubu for the strategic appointment.
