ABUJA — President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on his 65th birthday, praising him for embodying a pan-Nigerian spirit through his lifestyle and governance philosophy.

The President’s message was conveyed in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, who highlighted Adeleke’s growing influence not only in Osun State but across the nation.

“The President notes that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor has created a niche for himself as a politician of reckoning, not only in Osun State but also across the country and beyond,” the statement read.

Governor Adeleke, who first served as a Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District in 2017 after the passing of his brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, went on to become the Governor of Osun State in 2022.

Commending his contributions, President Tinubu acknowledged Adeleke’s inclusive governance style, describing him as “pan-Nigerian”—a leader whose governance reflects unity across different ethnic and cultural lines. Tinubu specifically pointed to Adeleke’s Yoruba and Igbo heritage as a testament to his commitment to inclusivity.

The President also offered personal prayers for Adeleke, wishing him many more years in good health and under God’s infinite mercy, as he continues to serve as the Asiwaju of Edeland, his hometown.
