Imo frontline uncommon philanthropist, boardroom business strategist, scholar of note, and transformational leader, Chairman of Megadrill Nigeria Ltd, Dr. Ejike Chukwu (MON), has joined ndi Imo and well meaning Nigerians to celebrate the auspicious occasion that marked the award conferment of ‘ Infrastructure Governor of the Year 2024 Award’ on the Imo State governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma, CON— on Friday, April 11, 2025— describing the award as well deserved and a true testament to his unflinching commitment to infrastructural revolution and multi-sectoral development in the state.
Speaking over the phone after the epoch-making event held at the prestigious Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island —Lagos State; the doyen of oil and gas industry with a national honour of Member Order of Niger, MON—Dr. Ejike Chukwu, maintained that the governor’s remarkable strides in road construction and rehabilitation is exemplified in a number of his signature road projects across the three senatorial districts in Imo visa viz; dualization of the Owerri-Orlu Road; the reconstruction of Owerri-Okigwe Road; Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Road— which have not only enhanced connectivity but also ignited a surge of economic growth, breathing new life into our communities.
In his own words, Ejike Chukwu (MON), stated inter alia: “The award speaks to your leadership ability, capacity and competence to serve, and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Imo State in line with the oath of office you took to serve them sincerely and with dedication.
