Urhobo ex-militants elect new leadership

In a significant move to strengthen the unity and advocacy of the group, the Urhobo ex-militants have elected a new leadership to steer their affairs.

The election took place during an enlarged meeting of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) 1, 2, and 3, held in Ovu town, Ethiope East Local Government Area.

The meeting, presided over by the supreme leader of the group, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, emphasized the importance of unity among the ex-agitators.

The group recognized the need for a cohesive leadership that will effectively represent and agitate for the collective interests of the Urhobo ex-militants.

The newly elected executive members include:

Gen. Fineboy Kpoboto (Indiami)– Vice Chairman
Gen. Popor Augustine – Secretary, Gen. Clement Oloye – Treasurer, Gen. Odiri Kingsley Agas – Public Relations Officer (PRO), Gen. Moses Endwell – Financial Secretary, Gen. Wilson Gbaire – Auditor,
Gen. George Esebaire – Organizing Secretary, Gen. Samuel Akporode – Assistant Organizing Secretary,
Comrade Festus Irorohwiroro – Assistant Secretary,
Gen. Moses Ukiri – Publicity Secretary, Gen. Prince Ado – Assistant PRO, Comrade Andy Akpovogbeta – Assistant Publicity Secretary,
Chief David Ukiri – Auditor II and Gen. Perry Awolowo – Publicity Secretary III
This new leadership team is expected to take bold steps in representing the Urhobo ex-militants’ interests and advocate for their rights. The group believes that a united leadership will provide a stronger voice and more effective action in addressing the issues that matter most to them.
