At a time when it seems like all hope is lost for the creative industry in Port Harcourt and Rivers State at large, July First Studios promises a huge largesse to lucky creatives.

The Port Harcourt Magazine Awards winning ‘Media Brand of the Year’ is organising a collaborative photography contest from 1st to 5th of July, 2025. According to the CEO of July-First, Mrs. Bridget Olusola, while discussing with newsmen in Port Harcourt, said a photographer, makeup artiste and model will form a team for this contest, because the judges will consider the three skills and it will be live event.

She also disclosed the prices for winners; one million naira for the winner, seven hundred thousand naira for second place, and three hundred thousand naira for third place. The best cinematographer who partake in the event will go home with five hundred thousand naira. Registration is ongoing at their instagram handle @july_1studio.

Port Harcourt creative industry will appreciate this gesture from a notable brand in this most trying time. Truly commendable.
