…absolves him of misconduct allegations
Leaders and stakeholders of Delta State Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Comrade Sunday Ndidi Enujeke as the bonafide Chairman of HOSTCOM in Delta State. They dismissed reports, alleging financial misappropriation of ₦300 million, involvement in gun-running, and a purported suspension against Enujeke.
This was disclosed in a statement by Goodwill Oruru, Chairman, Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality, Andrew Agoyo, Chairman, Urhobo Ethnic Nationality, Obiha Amaechi, Chairman, Ika Ethnic Nationality, Chris Nwose, Chairman, Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality, Omokero Emmanuel, Chairman, Isoko Ethnic Nationality and Kingsley Ikirre, Chairman, Ijaw Ethnic Nationality.
The statement reads:
“On Alleged Gun-Running and Financial Misappropriation: Reports suggesting that the Delta State Police Commissioner’s office is investigating Comrade Enujeke for gun-running and the misappropriation of ₦300 million have been categorically debunked. HOSTCOM leadership has clarified that while some disgruntled elements may have made petitions, no credible evidence has been presented, and investigations are ongoing. They emphasized that allegations are not convictions, and that the onus remains on accusers to provide proof.
“Another wild claim indicated that Comrade Enujeke was detained or interrogated by the EFCC on April 3rd, 2025. This has now been exposed as a lie from the pit of hell, as the Chairman did travel to Port Harcourt on the same day for an unrelated matter and returned unscathed and unbothered. No arrest, detention, or harassment occurred.
“The ridiculous claim that Comrade Enujeke serves as a political aide to His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has also been debunked. According to HOSTCOM leaders, this is a testament to the vagabond nature of mischief-makers who are desperate to tie his legitimate leadership to political schemes. The Chairman remains focused on his HOSTCOM mandate and not partisan politics.
“Contrary to the image of turmoil painted by his detractors, Comrade Enujeke is currently in Warri, enjoying God’s grace and celebrating with loyal followers. His leadership continues to inspire confidence and unity among the various ethnic nationalities in the HOSTCOM family.
“HOSTCOM leadership has encouraged all members across ethnic divides—Urhobo, Itsekiri, Isoko, Ijaw, Ndokwa, and Ika—to discountenance the social media propaganda. These attacks are described as baseless, directionless, and dead on arrival.
“Stakeholders believe the smear campaign stems from Comrade Enujeke’s open support for Andrew Agoyo as the authentic Chairman of Urhobo HOSTCOM. His principled stand on this matter has reportedly unsettled those who have long feasted on division and impersonation.
“In an extraordinary show of solidarity, ethnic nationality chairmen under HOSTCOM Delta State have put their names and positions behind Comrade Sunday Ndidi Enujeke. Those who signed the statement include:
“These leaders have called on all HOSTCOM members to remain calm, vigilant, and united in the face of sponsored misinformation campaigns. They have expressed their confidence that the truth will continue to triumph over propaganda.
“Sunday Ndidi Enujeke remains the legitimate, recognized, and active Chairman of Delta State HOSTCOM. The spurious allegations and fake news spread by anonymous cowards have been effectively neutralized by facts, evidence, and solidarity.”
