UGHELLI — Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, on the occasion of his 33rd coronation anniversary and the official unveiling of the monarch’s newly completed royal palace.

In a press statement released on Monday, the lawmaker lauded the traditional ruler’s steady leadership and dedication to unity, development, and cultural preservation, describing the dual celebration as a landmark moment for the Ughelli Kingdom.

“I, Senator Ede Dafinone, representing the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District, heartily extend my warmest congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, on the grand occasion of his 33rd coronation anniversary and the historic unveiling of his new royal palace,” the Senator stated.

He praised the monarch’s reign, which he said has brought sustained peace and stability to the Ughelli Kingdom over the last three decades, positioning it as a centre of cultural heritage and growth within Delta State and beyond.

“This dual celebration is a remarkable testament to Your Majesty’s steadfast leadership, wisdom, and commitment to the peace, unity, and prosperity of the Ughelli Kingdom,” Dafinone said. “Over the past three decades, His Majesty has demonstrated remarkable leadership, ensuring that the Ughelli Kingdom remains a stronghold of tradition, development, and cultural pride in Delta State and Nigeria at large.”

Senator Dafinone described the unveiling of the new palace as a milestone that transcends architecture, calling it a symbol of heritage, resilience, and a shared future for the people of Ughelli.

“The unveiling of the new palace is a monumental achievement — not just as the seat of traditional authority, but as a landmark symbol of the heritage, strength, and future aspirations of the Ughelli people,” he added.

According to him, the palace project reflects the unity and aspirations of the people under the guidance of a monarch who continues to command respect and admiration across ethnic and political divides.

“It stands as a beacon of progress and a reflection of the unity and resilience of our people under the reign of His Majesty,” Dafinone stated, noting that the structure will serve as a legacy of pride and inspiration for generations to come.

He acknowledged the contributions of the Ughelli sons and daughters who supported the palace project and urged the people to continue rallying around the monarch in support of peace and development.

“On behalf of my family, and the good people of Delta Central, I congratulate HRM Dr. Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III and the entire Ughelli Kingdom. I pray for God’s continued guidance, good health, and a peaceful, prosperous reign for our respected monarch,” the Senator concluded.
