Trinity University graduates 122, as Adedoyin institutes awards

Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos has held its third convocation ceremony where 122 students bagged degrees in various fields.

Among the graduates are 16 pioneer graduates in Nursing Science and Medical Laboratory Science.

During the event, the Chancellor, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, announced the setting up of three awards for exceptional students of the university.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Clement Kolawole, said the university has made significant strides in its few years of existence.

He stated that the university has taken part in a number of competitions and the students have come out tops.

While giving the assurance that TU would not rest on its oars, he added that parents and students are guaranteed value for money, as the university has become a centre of excellent.

In his speech, Prince Adedoyin said he was instituting the three awards in perpetuity

The awards are: the Chancellor’s Prize for Overall Best Graduating Student, the Chancellor’s Prize for Innovation and the Chancellor’s Prize for Entrepreneurship.

He commended the management and staff of the university for a job well done.

Also speaking, the Pro-Chancellor, Pastor Samuel Olatunji, thanked parents and guardians for entrusting their children and wards to the management and staff of TU.

An honorary doctorate degree of Business Administration and Management was conferred on President, Architect Registration Council of Nigeria, Dipo Ajayi.

Renowned businessman, Dr Cosmas Maduka also delivered the convocation lecture titled “Success is not a degree.”
