Sen. Moro exchanging pleasantries with PDP members

The Senate Minority Leader, and lawmaker representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro has appealed to aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to sheath their swords and return back to transform the party into a formidable political platform.
Senator Moro who made the appeal weekend while addressing the party’s Senatorial Zonal meeting in Otukpo, headquarters of the District, thanked member of the party in the zone for keeping faith with the party.
He noted that the PDP had always been the preferred party for the people of Benue South District emphasizing that the party and the people had been inseparable, stating that the zone had remained a PDP stronghold since 1999.
The lawmaker assured that said he would continue to work harder to sustain the tempo in the zone by supporting sellable candidates in the 2027 elections to enhance the party’s victory chances.
He charged party members not to be discouraged but to keep hope alive assuring that the Benue South Senatorial District “will continue to occupy its righful place in the party’s scheme of things.
“So I appealed to aggrieved party members to sheath their swords and return back to the PDP to form a formidable political platform.”
While lamenting the worsening insecurity in the state, Senator Moro also decried the marginalization of the Senatorial District by the state government and expressed optimism that PDP would change the narrative in the near future.
He declared his total commitment to the party to ensure its victory in all elections in the future.
The stakeholders who spoke at the meeting lauded Senator Moro for his purposeful leadership and quality representation of Benue South in the senate. They all pledged their unalloyed commitment to the party and assured that they would work assiduously to change the fortune of the party in 2027.
Some of the stakeholders that attended the meeting included the State Chairman of the party, Chief Ezekiel Adaji, the Zonal Chairman, Chief Augustine Ikeke, and the lawmaker representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ojotu Ojema.
Others included the Minority Leader of the Benue State House of Assembly, Michael Audu, the State Assembly member representing Oju 1, Pastor Blessed Onah, the State and Zonal Executive Council members from the Zone, the party Local Government Chairmen, party woman and youth leaders from the zone among others.
