Another participant, Mr Kenneth Teacher noted that ” the practical sessions allowed us to directly apply the concepts learned which significantly enhanced our understanding”.

The 5 days program was put together by   RenewableTecNigeria,a public private renewable energy in partnership with Nigeria renewable companies and their Dutch counterparts.

Funded by the Dutch Government, the program supports businesses in critical sectors to meet their cold storage needs amid Nigeria’s volatile energy market.

The goal of the RenewableTecNigeria’s developed POLARSTORE training program was to bridge the gap in cold chain infrastructures by integrating
renewable energy powered storage solutions and ensure efficiency and sustainability in key industries such as agriculture, healthcare and logistics.

It was also aimed to advancing skills through training in collaboration with Rubitec Nigeria Limited, a COREN-certified training institute, and other RenewableTechNigeria partners in the country.

In his remark, the Managing Director of Rubitec Nigeria Limited,Mr Bolade Soremekun added that “This training program was designed to equip engineers and technicians with hands-on expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of solar-powered cold storage systems.

“The program was developed in collaboration with Han University of Applied Science, Independent Energy, The Dawson Group and Larive International, all based in Netherlands.

“The curriculum was tailored to address the unique energy challenges faced in the Nigerian context, ensuring relevance and applicability.”
