Niger Delta Women’s Forum hail amnesty programme administrator

The Chairperson of the Niger Delta Capacity Women Forum, Ife-Ere Josephine Emuren, has commended Chief Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro, the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, for his transformative leadership.

In a statement on Wednesday, Emuren, widely known as “Abuja Mama,” praised Otuaro for his commitment to the welfare of Niger Delta youths, citing his achievements in education, skills training, and empowerment initiatives.

“Under his visionary leadership, the programme has witnessed unprecedented success, transforming the lives of numerous Niger Delta youths,” she said.

One of Otuaro’s most notable initiatives, she highlighted, was sponsoring young people from the region for pilot training in South Africa, a move she described as a significant step towards human capacity development.

“His tireless efforts in providing educational opportunities and empowerment programmes have been truly remarkable,” Emuren added.

She further urged stakeholders to acknowledge and support Otuaro’s work, emphasising that his contributions not only improved individual lives but also played a crucial role in the broader development of the Niger Delta region.

“As we celebrate his achievements, I encourage all stakeholders to commend Chief Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro for his outstanding work. May his dedication and passion continue to inspire us all towards a brighter future for the Niger Delta,” she said.

The Presidential Amnesty Programme was established to rehabilitate and reintegrate former militants in the Niger Delta, a region that has long struggled with underdevelopment and unrest.
