ABUJA – AHEAD of 2027 general elections, youth under the auspices of Advocacy for Youth Empowerment and Emancipation, AYEE, weekend, demanded, Federal and State Governments to intervene and reduce the current hardship, and that would determine their votes for whoever that wants to contest.

The call was made by the Chairman, AYEE, Comrade Godwin Ozor in a statement, where Ozor said the youth are not just asking for scraps from the table, but demanding a seat at the table.

He also maintained that young people want a conducive environment that promotes and protect businesses to thrive seamlessly, security of lives, supports entrepreneurship, and value addition to their lives.

He also added that youth demand grants to empower their startups, support for their innovative ideas, and investments in their future.

He said: “We stand at a critical juncture in our country’s history. The 2027 elections are looming, and the choices we make today will determine the course of our collective future.

“As we gather here, I want to issue a clear warning to President Tinubu and the APC-led government: fail the youth, and you risk facing the consequences in 2027.

“And let me remind President Tinubu and the APC-led government that we are not just a vocal minority; we are a force to be reckoned with.

“We are the ones who will determine the outcome of the 2027 elections. We’re the ones who will decide whether the APC remains in power or is sent packing.

“Now, I know some of you may think that we’re just making idle threats. But let me tell you, we’re not just talking; we’re organizing. We’re mobilizing.

“We are uniting across party lines, across ethnic and religious divides, to demand a better future for ourselves and for our country.

“The choice is yours. But remember, we are watching. We’re waiting. And we are ready to take our destiny into our own hands.”
