The leadership of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Alumni Association Worldwide has lauded the Governing Council of the institution led by Engr. Issa Gachi over the selection of a new Vice Chancellor.

The National President of the FUPRE Alumni Association Worldwide, Comr. Wilson Osemele described the process as thorough, highly competitive and transparent, noting that members of the Governing Council are not only experienced but also came prepared to reshape the University for the task ahead.

While congratulating Prof. Ezekiel Agbalagba on his emergence as the new vice Chancellor, he expressed confidence in his leadership, urging him to extend a hand of friendship to other contestants, especially those who are within the University.

He commended the sportsmanship demonstrated by all the contestants who vied for the position, stressing that they all performed exceptionally well and were eminently qualified. He further admonished them to join hands with the new Vice Chancellor in taking the development of the University to greater heights.
