Funke Akindele, a renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has shared the inspiration behind her latest movie, “Finding Me”, a heartfelt story of self-discovery and redemption. This film is a follow-up to her blockbuster hit, “A Tribe Called Judah”, which achieved unprecedented success in 2023.

According to Akindele, her love for crafting meaningful and relatable stories drove her to create “Finding Me.” The actress also revealed that the film has a piece of her in it, making it a labor of love.

“Finding Me” which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video explores themes of identity, strength, and resilience, following characters who embark on a journey of self-discovery. The film features an ensemble cast, including Efe Iwara, Joseph Benjamin, Omowunmi Dada, and more.

Akindele expressed gratitude to the cast and crew for their hard work and dedication to bringing the story to life.

“I’m committed to crafting meaningful and relatable stories. That’s why I poured my heart and soul into creating Finding Me. I poured my heart into it because I know many women struggle with the same issues. My hope is that ‘Finding Me’ will inspire others to find their own voices, their own strengths and their own paths to self discovery,” the actress wrote on IG.
