…Says Education is the Bedrock of Society

BOMADI—Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, the lawmaker representing Patani/Bomadi Constituency in the House of Representatives, has explained that he purchased 150 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for indigent students in his constituency due to his firm belief that education is the foundation of any society.

Speaking to Vanguard yesterday, Mutu emphasized that many parents and guardians struggle to afford tertiary education for their children, especially amid the country’s current economic challenges.

“Education is a fundamental human right and the foundation of a society’s progress. Unfortunately, many of our people cannot afford to send their children to tertiary institutions, particularly given the harsh economic realities in our nation.

“As their representative, I decided to step in and ease this burden by purchasing 150 JAMB forms for students in my constituency. But it doesn’t end there—students who achieve outstanding results will also be awarded scholarships.”

Mutu reiterated his unwavering commitment to supporting the education of Ijaw youths, ensuring they have opportunities to reach the university level.

“Education is the bedrock of any society, and my determination to promote the education of Ijaw youths remains sacrosanct.

“I will continue to do my best in supporting youth education, providing educational facilities, entrepreneurship training and empowerment, healthcare interventions, and attracting development projects to my constituency.”

Hon. Mutu’s initiative reflects his dedication to uplifting students in his constituency and fostering long-term educational growth.
