…says he’s a tested, trusted capable hand

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic, PDP in Makurdi Local Government Area, Mr. Paul Tion has expressed confidence in the ability of the former Otukpo Local Government Chairman, Chief George Alli to deliver on his new responsibility as Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President.

He commended the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio for the choice of Alli and also lauded the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro for facilitating the appointment describing the lawmaker as a team player and a well grounded politician and leader who wants to see the young grow.

He noted that Chief Alli whose support and fan base spreads across party lines would not disappoint his principal as well as the Senate Minority Leader who facilitated his appointment.

Tion described the appointment as “well deserved and we commend the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio for finding Chief George Alli worthy of the appointment as his Senior Legislative Aide.

“The appointee is a tested and trusted capable hand whose fan and support base spreads across party lines.

“We also commend the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, a team player, a well grounded politician and a man who wants to see the young grow, for facilitating the appointment.

“I urged the appointee to bring his wealth of experience as a two term member of the Benue State House of Assembly, two term Otukpo local Government Chairman and a grassroots politician to bear in his new position.”

Tion who pledged the support of the Makurdi PDP family to Senator Moro and Chief Alli at all times, urged him to be a good representative of Benue State in the team of the Senate President and help his boss achieve set goals and objectives for the Senate and Nigeria as a whole.
