SOKOTO: The Governing Board of Federal University of Agriculture Zuru has approved the appointment of Prof Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad as vice Chancellor of the university for the tenure of five years.

Briefing newsmen at the University in Zuru the the council security who is also the registrar of the school, Abudulaziz Yusuf Bazata said , the Governing Board of the university conducted interview for the vacant seat of the university , from the results, Prof Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad has Emerged as the Vice chancellor.

He maintained that Prof Ibrahim is a professor of Animal science for over 30 years and also has been in the university system for over 3 decades.

He further disclosed that the newly appointed VC till his appointment is the Dean Faculty of Agriculture at the University,.

In another development the university also has appointed Mr Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed as the University Bursar.

explained that Mr Abdulrasheed Atanda before his appointment is the deputy Bursar , University of Ilorin and has accounting experience for over 30 years.

He wished the duo a fruitful and peaceful tenure .
