In January, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) approved a maximum 50% increase in telecom tariffs, a compromise from the over 100% hike initially requested by some telecom firms. The commission stated that this decision aligns with its regulatory powers under the Nigerian Communications Act of 2003.  

On Tuesday, telecom operators began implementing the new tariffs, sparking widespread outrage on social media.  

Today on People Talk, we hit the streets to ask Nigerians what they think about the 50% increase in tariffs.
