In a display of compassion, the Waterlight Save Initiative has launched a campaign to support homeless veterans in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, with a view to improving quality of life and fostering social intervention.
Beneficiaries among who were members of the Veterans Affairs, VA,gathered at Woodruff Park in Atlanta, Georgia on February 15, 2025 for the gesture.
Founder of the organization, Dr. Ero Ibhafidon, a US-based Nigerian, lamented that veterans faced challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, and inadequate healthcare after service.
Dr. Ibhafidon explained that the gesture aligned with the organization’s broader mission of alleviating poverty and improving quality of life.
He highlighted some of the support for homeless veterans, including:“Providing safe housing. This ensures veterans have access to stable and secure shelter. The support also includes improving health care access, which aims to address physical and mental health challenges, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse recovery.
“Our objectives also include enhancing economic opportunities by connecting veterans with job opportunities, skill development, and entrepreneurship programs, as well as advocating for policy change by partnering with government agencies and organizations to create sustainable solutions for veterans.
“This initiative reaffirms the organization’s commitment to giving back to those who have bravely served the nation, Dr. Ibhafidon said, expressing gratitude to volunteers, sponsors, and committed partners ,for making the event possible.
