McPherson University has inaugurated a new female hostel and a laboratory building extension to enhance student accommodation and academic facilities.

In recognition of Foursquare Women International’s (FWI) contribution to the hostel project, the university named the road leading to the female hostels after the organisation.

FWI President, Elder Gbemisola Ajayi, recalled how the initiative began with faith and expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for supporting their vision.

The commissioning was led by the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Francis Igbasan highlighted ongoing accommodation challenges, revealing that over 200 students lack bed spaces.

He urged philanthropists to invest in student housing. The event concluded with prayers and commendations for all contributors.
