International Association of World Peace Advocates, IAWPA, a body within the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council, ECOSOC, has decorated Rev Dr Emiko Fregene, Senior Pastor of Grace Spring Assembly International, Warri, Delta State as an Eminent Peace Ambassador.

Rev Dr Emiko who is also from the royal family in Warri Kingdom spoke shortly after his formal investiture, assuring that he would continue to promote values of peace among various tribes in Warri and the entire globe.

The clergyman said he was elated when his peace building measures in communities and several other areas were spotted by the international body and was recognised with an appointment as United Nations volunteer, adding that the appointment as a global peace diplomat would spur him to greater service to humanity.

At the investiture ceremony which held at the auditorium of Grace Spring Assembly International, Nelson William street, Ambassador Dr Juliet Nwokocha, Director Rivers state chapter of IAWPA, decorated the clergyman Rev Emiko with a Very Important Person , VIP, international status medallion as an international peace ambassador. Reverend Emiko was also handed a Green ball pen for his official use and other paraphernalia of the UN volunteer status .

“You are a global diplomat and a united nations peace advocate.We also decorate you with a VIP status medallion as an international peace ambassador. From now onward as a global diplomate you sign officially with Green pen.”, she said.

Nwokocha flanked by other members of the world body at the investiture ceremony also spoke glowingly of Rev Emiko, describing him as a global peace builder.

“Rev promotes peace in the world. As a body we don’t give awards. The association confers on you the status of a diplomat, you use diplomatic number plate also for your vehicles . Rev is now a global diplomat and a United Nations Peace Advocates. We have governors, former presidents, senators etc as members of this association.”, she added.

Earlier at the church service , Pastor Dan Fregene in his message drawn largely from John 12 v 24 charged members to be committed towards driving their goals to reality, urging them to overcome limitations.

He said : ” You must motivate yourself to grow . The potential to be a forest God has deposited in you. You must read voraciously to grow your minds. Read books that are relevant to your vision.

“Time is also critical to your success. You can’t rush success. Its guaranteed but you can’t rush it. It goes through processes. Patience is key to success.
