ABUJA – THE Deeper Life Bible Church in Abuja has launched a new evangelism project called ‘Operation Save A Soul’ (SAS) to spread the message of Christianity across the capital and surrounding areas.
Pastor Adeniyi Hassan, the State Overseer for the church in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), kicked off the initiative at a special Sunday service at the Regional Worship Centre in Kado, Abuja, with over 3,000 worshippers attending in person, while many others joined online.
The aim of ‘Operation SAS’ is to support the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), a monthly event led by the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi. The project focuses on reaching out to those who haven’t yet embraced Christianity and encouraging them to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Pastor Hassan explained that members of the church are encouraged to actively evangelise in public spaces such as markets, schools, and bus stops to win at least one soul for the Kingdom of God. The church plans to celebrate those who have been converted on March 24, 2025, when the results of this outreach will be presented.
“‘Operation Save A Soul’ is a plan designed to make every believer pray, reach out to sinners, and bring them into the church in February and March 2025,” said Pastor Hassan. He also announced that there will be a special day on Sunday, March 23, 2025, where members will bring their newly converted souls to celebrate the success of the initiative.
Additionally, Pastor Hassan stressed the importance of focusing on the youth, urging church leaders to involve young people in key roles within the church. He also announced a new programme called ‘Youth Convocation,’ set for February 2025, to engage young members in spiritual growth.
In his sermon, Pastor Hassan encouraged the congregation to work together in unity and love, and to continue striving for higher spiritual goals.
