Aiyedatiwa reappoints Seun Osamaye as SA on Women Affairs

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reappointed Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye as the Special Adviser on Women Affairs in Ondo State.

This decision is part of the governor’s broader efforts to enhance governance and improve service delivery across the state.

In response to her reappointment, Dr. Osamaye expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa and reaffirmed her commitment to empowering women in Ondo State. She has been a strong advocate for women’s rights, gender equality, and leadership representation, and her continued role is expected to further bridge the gender gap in governance.

Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, FCISM, FAFUED, is a woman of many achievements, seamlessly balancing academics, politics, philanthropy, and gender advocacy.

Her academic journey began at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, where she graduated as the best student in her class. She later obtained a Master’s degree in English from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and recently earned a Ph.D. in English from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Beyond academia, Dr. Osamaye has played significant roles in politics and legislative development. In 2019, she coordinated the Small Alhaji Campaign Organisation, leading Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye to victory as a House of Representatives member for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency. She later served as a Senior Legislative Aide on Gender Equality to Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, where she championed the VAPP Act and fought against sexual and gender-based violence.

Dr. Osamaye is also a dedicated philanthropist. Since 2019, her annual “Give Back a Portion” empowerment program has provided cars, grinding machines, food items, and financial assistance to women, youths, and the underprivileged in Ifedore Local Government.

A firm believer in education and community development, she recently commissioned a 200-capacity ultra-modern faculty library at her alma mater.

As Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr. Osamaye leads the O’datiwa Women Initiatives, empowering women across Ondo State. She also serves as the National President of the Progressive Young Women Forum and played a key role in the Progressive Change Agents Initiative (PCAi) during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaign.

Married to Mr. Oladotun Emmanuel Osamaye and blessed with children, Dr. Osamaye balances family, career, and public service with exceptional ease. A trailblazer, philanthropist, and eternal optimist, she continues to inspire many, proving that greatness, when laced with humor and humility, becomes truly unforgettable.
