Rising Afrobeat and Afro-pop sensation, St Michael, has revealed that a life-changing accident in 2024 reignited his passion for music, pushing him to pursue it fully.

The Benin City-born artist, who is also a first-year student at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), is making waves with his soulful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics that deeply resonate with the realities of life.

In an exclusive interview, St Michael shared how his journey into music began:

“I discovered that I could sing back in my secondary school days, but I wasn’t ready to take it seriously. However, my love and passion for music remained strong, and last year, I released my first record ever, ‘Juju and Shayo.’ After the accident I had on November 3rd, 2024, the music in me fully awakened.”
