OSOGBO – As the nation celebrates Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has reiterated his commitment to supporting the Military in a bid to secure the country more effectively.

Speaking after laying of wreath at the Military Cenotaph in Osogbo on Wednesday, he said the best way to appreciate the ultimate sacrifice of the Armed Forces is to support the military to safeguard the country.

According to the governor, Osun State will continue to support the armed forces to enable them perform their duties of protecting the territorial integrity of our nation and state

“As we celebrate the Armed Forces remembrance day, let us remember our commitment to the values of patriotism, loyalty and sacrifice for which the Nigerian armed forces are known.

“As we mark this significant day, we remember the supreme price paid by our fallen heroes who laid down their lives in defense of our great nation.Their memories will forever be etched in our hearts and their sacrifices will never be in vain nor be forgotten”.

The event was highlighted with the 21-gun salute and laying of wreath in honour of the fallen heroes.
