A wave of unsettling deaths has struck the Agbarho community in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State, following the death of two young men in a mysterious circumstance in their rented one-room apartment.
The affected community’s residents, known for its tight-knit and peaceful nature, are now grappling with an overwhelming sense of fear and uncertainty.
Some residents of the area who spoke to Sunday Vanguard linked the cause of death of the victims to fumes from a generator set.
According to the sources, one of those who died rented the apartment and moved in on January 1st with three of his friends, adding that they became worried as neighbours when they started perceiving foul smell from the apartment and promptly informed the police.
“The door was forced open and two lifeless bodies were found. Two others in the room with them looking very feeble were rushed to the hospital”, a neighbour who did not want to be mentioned narrated.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command is yet to comment on the incident at the time of filing this report.
