The honourable member representing Surulere 1 at the House of Representatives, Rep. Fuad Kayode Laguda (FKL), FCTI has reaffirmed his dedication to the development of education in his constituency and Nigeria at large.

The member, who doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Federal Polytechnics and Higher Technical Education noted that the development of the education sector remains a priority as captured in his campaign promises and would continuously strive to achieve it.

This was contained in a statement e-signed by the honourable member in commemoration International Day of Education.

In his words, he said: “Today, as the world celebrates the International Day of Education, I reaffirm my commitment to educational development in Surulere 1 and Nigeria as a whole. Quality education is a right for all Nigerian citizens, as enshrined in the constitution.

“As the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Polytechnics and Higher Technical Education, the committee remains devoted to ensuring that our educational institutions, particularly the polytechnics, provide the necessary skills and knowledge to drive innovations and economic growth, especially in a technologically-driven world as captured in the theme for this year: AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a world of automation.

“Being your representative, I pledge to unflinchingly work towards my promise of legislations that will continuously prioritize access to quality education, digital learning, enhance educational infrastructure, and raise teacher and institution quality to equip our students with the practical and technical skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world“, he reaffirmed.
