Najomo
The Centre for Leadership Excellence and Transparency (CELT) has praised Captain Chris Ona Najomo, Acting Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), for his exemplary leadership and transformative reforms in the aviation sector.
In a statement by CELT’s Executive Director, Dr. Gabriel Itodo, the group urged President Bola Tinubu to confirm Najomo’s appointment, citing his achievements in improving air safety, staff welfare, and operational efficiency. “Captain Najomo has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and professionalism, setting a new benchmark for the NCAA,” Dr. Itodo remarked.
Najomo’s initiatives include the registration of aviation fuel suppliers, renewal of key aviation permits, and enhanced staff morale through promotions and the clearing of long-standing arrears. CELT emphasized his transparency in procurement processes and compliance with international aviation safety standards. “His zero-tolerance approach to corruption aligns perfectly with the administration’s vision,” the group noted.
Describing Najomo as a “game changer,” CELT lauded his efforts in modernizing Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. “His results-oriented leadership has not only inspired confidence but also positioned the NCAA for unprecedented success,” Dr. Itodo added.
CELT concluded by affirming Najomo’s suitability for the permanent role, stating, “No one changes a winning team. Captain Najomo’s remarkable achievements prove he is an invaluable asset to the nation’s aviation industry.”
