Empowerment group offers free healthcare for Christmas

BENIN CITY – IN the spirit of giving and community service, the Engr. Ojegba Engineering Empowerment Initiative recently organized a Free Christmas Healthcare program for technical personnel in the engineering sector. T

The event provided an opportunity for machine operators, engineering technicians, and individuals to receive free medical consultations, screenings, and treatments.

A team of dedicated healthcare professionals volunteered their time and expertise to ensure that all participants received quality care. The initiative, spearheaded by Engr. Evukowhiroro Ojegba FNSE(Immediate Past Chairman NSE Benin) said he aimed to “promote health awareness, improve access to healthcare services, and demonstrate compassion for engineering technical personnel in need.”

The event was well-attended and was declared open by Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor, the Dean of Engineering, University of Benin. The chairman, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Benin, Engr. Tina Oigiagbe, FNSE, also supported the program.

In his welcome remarks, the founder/initiator of the support program, Engr. Evukowhiroro Ojegba FNSE, appreciated the Almighty God for the privilege to be a blessing to his generation and for making this dream a reality adding that the initiative was driven by his passion to serve humanity.

He commended the National President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala FNSE, and the branch chairman for giving a nod to the initiative.

The NSE Benin chairman later led other dignitaries present to undergo various medical tests and checks like blood pressure, malaria, HIV, and blood sugar and they were administered based on the results and recommendations from the medical experts present.

The Engr Ojegba Engineering Empowerment Initiative has consistently demonstrated its dedication to philanthropic causes, and this Free Christmas Healthcare program is just one example of its efforts to make a positive impact.

Some of the beneficiaries spoken to expressed their gratefulness for Engr. Ojegba’s kindness and generosity and that they look forward to seeing the continued positive effects of his initiatives in the years to come.
